GMC has totally redesigned the Acadia crossover. Now, in the third generation, it straddles the midsize and full-size segments due to a 10.6-inch extension of the vehicle's body. This enables the 2024 Acadia to offer more space across all three rows of seating. Buyers can now choose between 7 or 8-seat configurations.

The 2024 GMC Acadia also gets a new engine, which is a turbocharged unit that makes 328 horsepower. Buyers can get an all-wheel drive as an option. There’s also a new AT4 trim with some off-road enhancements.

Interior Review of the 2024 GMC Acadia

Thanks to its extended wheelbase, the 2024 GMC Acadia is a proper three-row midsize SUV that can accommodate up to eight occupants. There’s also a captain chair configuration available for the second row. This reduces passenger capacity to seven. However, it provides second-row passengers with comfortable individually adjustable seats and armrests.

The 2024 Acadia offers a larger trunk that can be augmented by folding the third-row seats. Some trims offer a power-folding function. GMC has updated the exterior of the 2024 Acadia with a more prominent face and standard LED headlamps. The 2024 Acadia has grown in length by 10.6 inches, 3.2 inches in height, and 4.2 inches in width from the 2023 model. Some trims include bright or dark trim elements.

The AT4 trim has some distinctive exterior elements, including 18-inch gloss black wheels, a unique grille finish, and wheel-opening molding lights. The Denali can be chosen with up to 22-inch wheels and features Galvano silver accents as well as a special Denali front grille.

Power and Performance of the 2024 GMC Acadia

The 2024 GMC Acadia has a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The engine makes 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Drivers can manually select gears using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The 2024 Acadia range comes with front-wheel drive as standard. Buyers can choose GMC’s Active Torque Control all-wheel drive. The only exception is the AT4 trim, which is only offered with an all-wheel drive.

The AT4 trim comes with several off-road enhancements. These include off-road tires, off-road suspension, and an increased ride height. You will also get a high-approach front fascia with a skid plate, plus recovery tow hooks.

The 2024 Acadia range can tow up to 5,000 pounds and is estimated to take around 6 seconds in the 0-60 benchmark.
